In 2014 Alba Huerta committed to establishing her business in Houston and Julep was born. Since doing so, Huerta has boosted the bar and restaurant industry in our city by developing the careers of creatives within the field while sharing the essence of The South. Named for the most classic cocktail made with simple ingredients and Southern charm, Huerta has imbued the atmosphere at Julep with a sense of place that resounds with its environment in the Old Sixth Ward – much like the cocktail itself – by marrying an All-American foundation with flavors from around the world.
